Snakes in the Grass (SIG):  Mission Statement

 

Definition: The term “Snakes in the Grass”, shall refer, in this context, to corporations and organizations that operate behind masks consisting of various front propaganda screens that make them appear to be benign and even helpful to the environment and society.

 

Goal: Our aim is to expose their real nature and purpose by using their own published material, as well as credible material already in the public domain.

 

Methods:

 

1. Ferret out SIGs by researching the environmental and social records of suspect corporations and organizations and comparing them with their public persona (the whitewashed and greenwashed faces they show to the world).

 

2. Expose SIGs by describing them, and how they hide behind various masks, on our web site: snakesinthegrass.net.

 

3. Shame SIGs by staging loud and colourful public demonstrations at prominent events. This is best accomplished by employing humourous street theatre and other attention-getting techniques.
